God of the Sixth Street Viaduct
By Samantha Henderson

His tattered, greasy clothes flap
In the sullen wind. When storms come,
And the waters mount, he screeches
And rises like a bird.

Samantha Henderson's poetry has appeared in Strange Horizons, Mythic Delirium, Goblin Fruit, Weird Tales, and Dreams and Nightmare. She is the co-winner, with Kendall Evans, of the 2010 Rhysling Award for long-form specualtive poetry for "In the Astronaut Asylum."
