Sonya Taaffe

Deinde Centum

Catullus muddled kisses against witches,
Dee with his mathematics caught angels in a glass.
We thieve each other's dreams,
the muse a mask we share round
in cups of hellebore and constellations of tea,
not counting the lines as they slide through our fingers
like blown sand or the riddling heads of corn.
